Florida Family Engagement in Education Month is a time to celebrate the important role parents and families play in their children's education. When schools work together with families to support learning, children are more motivated to succeed - not just in school, but throughout life.
The Florida Department of Education recognizes the vital role that schools and families play throughout a child's educational journey. The HCHS Blue Pride band performed at the Florida Bandmasters Association's District Marching Festival this past Saturday in Panama City. We would like to recognize the band & their accomplishment of receiving a SUPERIOR rating. We are very proud of Mr. Dobos and these students!

Disability History & Awareness

The first two weeks of October are Disability History and Awareness Weeks. Section 1003.4205, Florida Statutes, entitled Disability History and Awareness Instruction, was signed into law in 2008. It requires school districts to designate the first two weeks of October as Disability History and Awareness Weeks and also promotes providing instruction for students in all public schools to expand student knowledge, understanding, and awareness of individuals with disabilities, disability history, and the disability rights movement.
