We are pleased to announce that our Holmes County Teacher of the Year is Ms. Brittany Brown, representing Ponce de Leon High School. Ms. Brown has been a teacher for 8 years and currently teaches agriculture and aerospace at PDLH. She says, "I enjoy teaching because there is nothing more rewarding than watching a child grow and succeed in the classroom and in life." We wish Ms. Brown the best as she competes for Florida's Teacher of the Year!

The Holmes County School Board will meet on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the following locations for the purpose of visiting the school Ag Farms: (all times are approximate)
Depart from the District Office 10:25 a.m.
Travel to Holmes County Ag Farm 10:25 – 10:30 a.m.
Holmes County High School Ag Farm 10:30 – 11:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:00 a.m. – 12:00p.m.
Travel to Poplar Springs 12:00 p.m. – 12:20 p.m.
Poplar Springs High School 12:20 p.m. – 12:50 p.m.
Travel to Bethlehem 12:50 p.m. – 1:05 p.m.
Bethlehem High School 1:05 p.m. – 1:35 p.m.
Travel to Ponce De Leon 1:35 p.m. – 2:05 p.m.
Ponce de Leon High School 2:05 p.m. – 2:35 p.m.
Back to District Office 3:00 p.m.
Early Release/Winter Break

Friday, December 20 will be an early release day. Check with your child's school for specific dismissal times.
Holmes County Schools will be closed December 23 through January 3 for the holidays. Classes will resume on Monday, January 6.

Road Construction Affecting Bus Routes

Many Holmes County roads are currently under construction or are scheduled for construction in the near future. These construction projects will likely affect both morning and afternoon bus routes. When roads in your area are under construction, please plan accordingly for these delays. If your road is closed, please make arrangements to transport your child to school or to a nearby bus stop. If you have any questions regarding alternate bus stops, please contact your child's school or the HDSB Transportation Department.
