What is ParentSquare?

ParentSquare is a unified communication platform that offers a whole host of tools which allows district, school administrators and teachers to more effectively communicate and engage with families and students.

As a registered parent, you can:

  • Receive messages from the school and district via phone, email, text, or app notification
  • Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm
  • Communicate in your preferred language
  • Direct message teachers, staff, and other parents
  • Participate in group messages from schools and teachers
  • Sign up for parent-teacher conferences
  • Sign up to volunteer, sign up to donate school supplies, and more all from your desktop or mobile device

How Do I Activate My Account?

Register Via Text Invite

The district will send you a text invite if we have your cell phone number as your primary contact number.

When you get the text message, simply click the link in the message and register your account by creating a password.

Register Via The Web

You can go to www.parentsquare.com/signin and enter the phone number that is associated with your student in Focus, whether landline or cell.  You must include the area code in the form.  

Register Via the App

The app is typically the most convenient method to interact with ParentSquare.  When you open the app, you will be asked to enter your phone number. Enter the phone number that is associated with your student in Focus. If you gave the school district your land line number, enter your land line number. If you gave the school your cell phone number, enter your cell phone number.  You must include the area code when entering your phone number.

Problems Registering

The most common problem when registering for ParentSquare is that the phone number you enter into ParentSquare does not match the phone number the school has on file for you. To remedy this issue, call your school and update your contact information OR update your contact info on the Student Data Verification Form that is sent home with each student at the beginning of the school year.

How Do I Manage My Notification Settings?

ParentSquare allows users to customize their notifications based on notification type and select their preferred delivery method for each school. The Instant setting will send all post notifications in real-time. The Digest setting sends direct messages, alerts, and time-sensitive posts instantly, but sends all non-time sensitive posts at the end of the day, reducing the number of notifications you receive daily.  More information about setting notification preferences can be found in the resources below.
